C-3PO was a protocol droid whose main function was to assist with etiquette, customs, and translation so that meetings of different cultures ran smoothly. C-3PO was built by Jedi Anakin Skywalker to assist his mother, and loyally served over forty masters over the years. C-3PO was a constant companion to astromech droid R2-D2 and together they were involved in some of the Galaxy’s most defining moments playing a pivotal role in galactic history. C-3PO is fluent in more than seven million forms of communication. The cowardly droid hated adventure and space travel as he often came out the wrong end of a fight and loosing parts. In the years after the Empire's defeat, C-3PO acquired a red-plated arm, keeping the mismatched limb to honor a fellow
